Domestic Species

The duo exhibition by Teun Zwets and Muzammil Hussain offers a glimpse into today’s world, full of dualities. Both artists take familiar forms as their starting point and transform them into new visual identities.

Zwets reinterprets everyday furniture, allowing the material itself to determine its form and unexpected proportions. Hussain transforms animals, human figures and mythological creatures into characters that find their place in the present.

Both artists use familiar archetypes as a starting point for transformation. Familiar objects and figures, in a world between old and new, take on a new form.
